Talking points: making every conversation count

Thursday, 16 September 2021 7:00 pm

This session is open to members of RPS, RCGP, RCN, BPS, RCPCH, and RCP

In this session, we will focus on the importance of effective communication both within multidisciplinary teams, and between clinicians and patients, and the impact this has in relation to the use of medicines. Our Head of education, Beth Ward, will be joined by Dr John Dean, Clinical Director for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Royal College of Physicians, and a multidisciplinary panel of experts who will share their experiences and practical tips to help you implement best clinical practice in your day-to-day role.

Regardless of your career stage, this session is for you!

During the session we will explore:

  • Communication barriers and enablers within your multidisciplinary team and with patients
  • Ways of empowering patients to contribute to decisions about their treatment
  • Practical tools and tips you can use in your day-to-day practice

We are delighted to be teaming up with other royal colleges to deliver an education series on safer use of medicines. This series includes a range of interprofessional webinars that will be free to attend for RPS members and members of other royal colleges. Find out more
