A Pharmacogenomic Resource: Supporting the Competency Framework for All Prescribers

Pharmacogenomics (PGx) is changing the way that medicines are used, by personalising them to an individual’s genes.

The PGx Prescribing Competency Resource has been developed to support all prescribers to build and expand Pharmacogenomics (PGx) competence in settings across the UK.

Join us to learn about the resource, and how it can help you to prescribe safely and effectively using PGx, improving patient outcomes through medicines optimisation.

By attending this webinar, you will be able to:

Articulate the value and the role of pharmacogenomics to the NHS and to patients
Navigate the new resource and understand it’s relation to the competency framework for all prescribers
Understand how the resource supports incorporation of pharmacogenomics into prescribing practice across professions

This resource was created with the support of the NHS England Genomics Programme through the pharmacogenomics and medicines optimisation genomic network of excellence, led by the NHS North West Genomic Medicine Service Alliance.
